This class offers parents/carers and their babies an opportunity for exploratory play using our unique equipment whilst being guided and advised by specially trained staff. Through exploratory play, the class aims to assist your baby through their biggest stages of development, crawling and walking. Babies can start the class when they reach 6 months old and can sit up unaided. Through carefully designed equipment set ups, they have the opportunity to develop the skills and strength needed to move onto each developmental stage; at their own individual pace.

The classes are designed to aid babies at all stages of mobility - from sitting, through to crawling, cruising and up to early walking. They are encouraged to explore what their bodies can do: rolling, stretching, standing, balancing, throwing, feeling, crawling, shuffling, climbing, holding, dropping, wobbling, toddling, bending, and many other unique baby moves!

During the class circle times, parents/carers join in with development exercises which aim to build the strength of a baby’s upper and lower body, as well as aiding a baby’s gross motor skill development. The songs and rhymes form the beginning of their language journey.

Parents tell us week after week how they have noticed a difference in their babies at home between classes - more confident and trying things they had not previously tried. There are great tips on exercises you can do in your own time too.
